Illinois Valley Industries Executive Director Stephanie Kessler was Wednesday’s guest on People R Talking and shared some updates of local interest with listeners.

Kessler said March is developmental disabilities month and, to highlight awareness, Illinois Valley Industries will be featuring a series of individual life stories about community and our commonalities.

Kessler mentioned IVI’s hosting Coffee & Company, with Beans and Bites, May 18^th, at the Chamber Building. She said this community event provides a unique opportunity for the public to be introduced to the business community, mingle, and interact in a valued network of shared learning. 

Kessler added, thanks to a generous donation from the Morris Lions Club, IVI clients will reap the benefits from Health & Wellness programs including YMCA classes, cooking courses, art and music therapy.
