It’s been fifteen years or more since any business in Illinois asked you, “Smoking or non-smoking?”
Advocates who helped get Smoke Free Illinois psased fifteen years ago celebrated Wednesday at a reception in Springfield. The reason?
“I think its partially because of the increase in e-cigarette use, the need to bring attention to the fact that we quashed this fifteen years ago,” said Kelly Nichols of the Respiratory Health Association.
“There has been a noticeable impact from the Smoke Free Illinois act, and now we have more work to do.”
A bill would apply the same restrictions of Smoke Free Illinois to vapes.
