Revised congressional maps would now pit different Republicans against each other.
House and Senate Democrats have released updated maps that chairs of the redistricting committees say will more accurately reflect the diversity of Illinois and Latino population growth. In the last proposed map Representatives Darin LaHood and Mary Miller were pitted against each other, now LaHood would be in district 16 with Adam Kinzinger and Miller will be going up against Mike Bost in district 12.
In addition, district 15 which is Congressman Rodney Davis’ district has significant changes, going from western Illinois to eastern Illinois and then back down to near the Metro East.
