The Illinois Capitol building is once again open to the public.
Public access and tours were suspended at the start of the pandemic in the spring of 2020. Fifteen months later, tours are resuming. But there may not be much to see for a while.
Lawmakers are not due back until at least October, unless they return earlier to address unresolved issues from the spring legislative session like that controversial green energy bill.
