Illinois’ teacher shortage and student performance during the COVID-19 pandemic are top concerns among Illinoisans. On Tuesday,the Illinois Education Association (IEA) revealed the results of their poll on public schools. The IEA says the poll shows Illinois residents believe COVID-19 is only making the state’s teacher shortage worse. Data also shows residents across the state continue to put their trust in educators when it comes to school matters and safety-related standards for schools.
