NORTHBROOK, IL — State Rep. Jonathan Carroll (D-Northbrook) announced Monday he will not be in Springfield for at least the next two weeks. Carroll said he is putting himself into quarantine after coming into close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

"I will not be in attendance for session this week as the health and safety of my colleagues and staff must come first," Carroll said via Twitter.

Patch had not heard back from Carroll’s office at press time for this story.

Carroll represents the 57th District, which includes: all or parts of Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, Glenview, Mount Prospect, Northbrook, Palatine, Prospect Heights and Wheeling. He was first elected in 2017.
