Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker held a press conference in Dallas alongside Texas Democrats as Republicans gathered in the city for their midterm convention.

Pritzker launched a fierce attack on the Republican Party, saying that nothing Republicans say at their convention will change how “clinically deranged and out of touch” he believes the GOP has become.

He also accused Republicans of knowing they cannot win elections based on their unpopular policies and claimed they are instead working to “rig the 2026 election.” Pritzker called the alleged effort a “disgraceful attack” and urged voters to pay close attention to the fight over the upcoming midterms.
