State Sens. Patrick Joyce of Essex, Rachel Ventura of Joliet and Willie Preston of Chicago, along with state Reps. Lisa Davis of Chicago, Margaret DeLaRosa of Glen Ellyn, Kimberly du Buclet of Chicago and Gregg Johnson of East Moline, will participate in the Executive Leadership Training Program Aug. 2-6 at the I-Hotel and Conference Center on the University of Illinois campus in Urbana-Champaign.

Established in 2012 by the late Gov. Jim Edgar, the Edgar Fellows Program was created around the belief that Illinois benefits when future leaders understand one another before confronting the state’s biggest policy debates. Rather than bringing together people who already share similar backgrounds or viewpoints, the program intentionally assembles leaders from government, business, labor, nonprofits and local communities to encourage respectful dialogue and lasting professional relationships.
