Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D-Ill.) said he’s seen an increase in threats, including some referencing his Jewish faith, amid a broader rise in political violence.
 
“I think the antisemites out there … have come out of the woodwork and I receive threats,” he told POLITICO’s Jonathan Martin, adding that the volume is higher than in previous years.
 
Pritzker pointed to the current political climate as a driving factor, arguing that national leaders have helped set a tone that normalizes political violence.
 
“We’ve got to stand up against this,” he said. “It’s okay to disagree, but not be disagreeable.”
