Mayor Johnson to join union leaders for ‘Workers over billionaires’ Chicago Labor Day march

The Labor Day rally will likely take off from the Haymarket Memorial.
CHICAGO (WLS) — Local union leaders and Mayor Brandon Johnson will rally at the Chicago Labor Day march.
Union leaders say the Trump administration is attacking average working Americans.
The Coalition of Labor and Community leaders and advocacy groups outlined their "Workers over billionaires Chicago Labor Day Rally" last week.
The march will begin at abou 11 a.m. with a rally at the Haymarket Memorial sculpture in downtown.
The sculpture commemorates the bombing of a crowd on the evening of May 4, 1886. The crowd was protesting the violent deaths of workers during a labor lockout.
Pastor Jamal Bryant, who is leading the boycott against target will also join the march and rally on Sept. 1.
