Montgomery County Democrats had an informational presentation from ROE #3 Regional Superintendent of Education Julie Wollerman of Vandalia, formerly of Hillsboro. Wollerman discussed the duties and challenges that come with her office. Wollerman is seeking a fourth term representing Montgomery, Shelby, Christian, Fayette and Effingham counties. A total of 37 people attended the meeting and enough food items were donated to possibly help two food pantries. Visitors included Dr. Paul Davis, candidate for the IL 15 seat in the US House of Representatives, former Fayette Democrats chair Al McDowell, Effingham Democrats chair Patrick Lewis, County Treasurer Nikki Lohman, who is seeking her third term and Superintendent Wollerman, who is standing next to Lohman.
