“Now more than ever, we need leaders in Springfield who will never lose sight of what matters most for our communities. As a former mayor and school board president, a business leader, and a community volunteer, DeLuca brings valuable insight from South Suburban communities to the Capitol, including fighting to:

  • Make Illinois more affordable by working to reduce the cost of healthcare and prescription drugs, as well as lowering the costs of goods and services.
  • Create new opportunities and encourage commercial and industrial development in the South Suburbs through the Southland Reactivation Act, leading to increased job opportunities and higher wages for families.
  • Improve public safety with a focus on violence reduction by supporting new resources for law enforcement and data-driven investment in community-based violence resources to stop crime at its roots.
  • Reform the property tax system, increase education funding, and restore Local Government Distributive Funds, so schools and municipalities have the resources they need, ultimately leading to property tax relief.
