Advocates for working families in Illinois spoke out against possible cuts from the federal government.
Members of Congress and Citizen Action/Illinois expressed opposition to the Trump administration’s proposal to cut funding for social security, Medicare, Medicaid, student aid and other safety net programs. They say the federal budget needs to prioritize people over profits,
not tax breaks for billionaires and corporations.
The demonstrators say federal budget cuts would threaten the wellbeing of seniors, children and working families.
