SPRINGFIELD (WGEM and 25News Now) – Despite his efforts to help elect Vice President Kamala Harris (D), Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) admits he doesn’t exactly know what will happen Nov. 5.

Pritzker said this week that Democrats have an enormous amount of enthusiasm and motivation to vote after seeing it firsthand during a recent campaign trip to Wisconsin. While he admits the race is close, he also said he feels “reasonably confident” ahead of Election Day.

“Look at the polls and its one or two points either way for these candidates,” Pritzker said. “And I think in that case, Democrats are most likely to win because, frankly, we’re the ones knocking on doors, we’re the ones making phone calls, typically, and this is true across the battleground states, we have a better organization than the Republicans do.”

Pritzker’s not done campaigning for Harris. A spokesperson with his campaign confirms he’s traveling to North Carolina on Saturday to stump for her.
