97th District State Representative Harry Benton is running for re-election in next month’s election. Benton is running as a Democrat.

Benton says there are many areas he hopes to continue addressing, including property taxes, cost of living, and childcare.

Benton says he is running for re=election to help serve the people of the district by listening to their concerns and seeking ways to address those issues through effective policy. He says the needs of the district continue to change as the population grows, and as it pertains to infrastructure, it will be a challenge to keep up.

Benton was elected to the 97th District seat in 2022 and has a background in iron working. The 97th District is comprised of areas in Plainfield and Oswego.
