Illinois is moving forward with a package of tax incentive extensions.

The bill, sponsored by Sen. Steve Stadelman, includes the state’s credits for electric vehicle companies. Stadelman credits the incentives for keeping the Stellantis factory open in his district while increasing production in the area. The bill would also designate money for the quantum technology campus Gov. JB Pritzker supports.

The state budget would include $500 million to facilitate it. The incentives in the bill are intended to attract companies to build there.
