Local youth will be able to connect to resources they need to succeed at State Rep. Anna Moeller’s first Youth Fair later this month.
Rep. Moeller is bringing together local vendors and organizations to help connect youth with resources and support from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Gail Borden Library Main Branch in Elgin (270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin).
Volunteer opportunities, after-school programs, health and wellness resources, career guidance and more will be available from vendors including the Boys and Girls Club of South Elgin, the YMCA, Family Service Associates, and the Elgin Explorers Program.
The Youth Fair is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served. A free raffle will be conducted for four passes to a Chicago museum.
“We know these organizations provide great opportunities for our youth to grow and succeed, and this is an excellent way to invite local youth out to learn more about these opportunities,” Rep. Moeller said. “Please come out on the 28th and tell local youth and families to join us and celebrate the great programs our community offers to help our next generation of leaders.”
