Bloomington Mayor Mboka Mwilambwe got a shoutout from the governor during Wednesday’s State of the State and budget address.
Gov. JB Pritzker shared part of Mwilambwe’s personal biography during his speech, in which he highlighted the importance of college financial aid. The crowd of assembled lawmakers then gave Mwilambwe a standing ovation.
