WASHINGTON — U.S. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) and U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) announced $70 million in federal funding for numerous health care programs, initiatives, and community projects across Illinois.
“State and local institutions count on federal investments like the ones announced today to ensure they can continue providing vital resources and services to their communities—from improving access to primary health care, to supporting pregnant women, to helping our kids get the best early education possible,” said Durbin.
“This robust funding ensures these programs and initiatives can continue their important work of keeping residents healthy and thriving across Illinois.”
“Our state is home to incredible institutions and programs that help Illinoisans prevent illness, get mental health support, receive medical treatments and so much more,” Duckworth said.
“I’m proud to announce this federal funding with Senator Durbin to help ensure these providers have the resources they need to keep Illinoisans and their families healthy.”
