Loving husband of Sebastian Contreras Jr; Devoted son of Mary and the late Michael “Joe” O’Shea; Cherished brother of Michael, Daniel CPD (Michelle), and Colleen; Beloved uncle of Declan and Delaney; Dear nephew, cousin, and friend to many; Proud graduate of DePaul University and American University Washington College of Law; Partner at Alexander, Borovicka & O’Shea Government Solutions lobbying firm; Sean was a notable name in government and lobbying circles in Illinois and Washington, D.C., where he worked for both former President Bill Clinton and, later, former Sen. Hillary Clinton; During the Clinton administration, Sean worked in the Office of Cabinet Affairs. And for Sen. Clinton, he was projects director and legislative assistant, handling domestic appropriation bills, transportation and infrastructure issues, homeland security and health matters related to the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks on New York City. Sean later worked in Springfield, where he was deputy chief of staff to Gov. Pat Quinn. Visitation Monday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Old St. Patrick’s Church, 700 W.
