Coroner: Senator Bennett passed away

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Senator Scott Bennett (D-Champaign) has passed away.

The Champaign County Coroner confirmed the state senator has died Friday. He was hospitalized Thursday.

A cause of death has not been announced.
