Why I’m running in 2022

State Rep. Anna Moeller addressing a crowd in Elgin on May 14, 2022, on the need to protect access to reproductive healthcare in Illinois in the event that Roe v Wade is overturned by the Supreme Court.

We have made positive strides in our state, especially over the past year, in passing legislation and reforms that will have a meaningful impact, including:

  • Electing a new Speaker of the House for the first time in decades and enacting term limits for legislative leaders and comprehensive ethics legislation;
  • Passing a balanced budget that provides inflation relief for everyone and invests in education, human services, public safety, access to affordable healthcare and other vital services and gets our finances back on track by paying down debt and creating a rainy-day fund;
  • Protecting women’s reproductive rights, making Illinois a 100% pro-choice state.

I am running for re-election so I can continue to be the voice of the 43rd District in the Illinois House – and hold violent gun offenders accountable, ensure our neighborhood schools have the resources to thrive, support for our small businesses and to address COVID recovery. We cannot let extremist candidates take a page out of the Trump playbook and reverse the progress that we have made.

As we prepare for the election, I am thankful for the strong support I have received from the community. If you are interested in helping with my campaign this fall, such as hosting a yard sign, please do not hesitate to reach out to me here at the “How to Support Anna” page or at moellerforstaterep@gmail.com .  It has been a tremendous honor to serve the 43rd District over the past years. I am truly grateful.
