On Saturday, April 30th, Calumet City Mayor Thaddeus Jones hosted his 1st Annual Women’s Appreciation Luncheon as part of Calumet City’s Mother’s Day Celebration.
Over 300 Calumet City women attended the event held at the Calumet City Public Library.
“This event served as a constant reminder of how the women of Calumet City have always been the centersone of our neighborhoods. But moreover, I have ensured that women have major roles within our government.” says Mayor Jones.
Alderman Romone Williams and Alderman James Smith alsonattended the eventm They both spoke publicly of their appreciation of the women in attendance.
