State Senator Patrick Joyce has extended to you an invitation to take a moment and think about an older person you know who would make a good candidate for the 2022 class of the Senior Illinoisan Hall of Fame. 

Every day in Illinois older residents are making a difference. State Senator Joyce would like every resident of his district to set aside some time soon to consider the following question.

Who do you know from your family, circle of friends, neighborhood, or workplace who is 65 years of age or better and endeavors on a regular basis to make our communities better places to live? Once you have selected that person then think about which category of civic minded older adult best describes them. These categories include community service, education, the labor force and the arts.

This summer four older Illinois residents who meet all the recommended criteria will be elected to the Senior Illinoisan Hall of Fame. You can nominate your deserving older adult by clicking the link on Senator Joyce’s website at www.SenatorPatrickJoyce.com. 

Eligibility is based on an individual’s past and present accomplishments, and the candidate must be a current Illinois citizen or a former citizen for most of their life. Posthumous nominees are also considered. 

Nominations for the 2022 inductees must be submitted by June 1^st.
