The new policy says that students will be allowed to wear hoodies, "as long as the hood remains down."

ROCKFORD (WREX) — Auburn High School has adjusted a recent change in policy after the shooting in the school’s parking lot.

The school posted on their Facebook page that hoodies are no longer banned from being worn on the school’s campus.

This announcement comes one day after 13 WREX reported that the clothing was banned from being worn by students, faculty, and staff on campus.

The new policy says that students will be allowed to wear hoodies, "as long as the hood remains down."

On Tuesday, two students were shot in the parking lot of Auburn High School. The shooting left a 17-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy hurt, according to Rockford Police.

The three teenage suspects in the shooting are all facing charges, two of them charged as adults.

According to the school, students who are seen wearing a hood on their head will be taken out of class to door C.
