ELGIN — We are starting 2022 on a concerning note, with a fresh spike in COVID-19 cases and many related consequences. State Rep. Anna Moeller is joining the fight to promote protection.

As COVID-19 cases spike again across Illinois, State Rep. Anna Moeller is joining colleagues to promote protection through vaccination boosters.

Rep. Moeller, fellow State Rep. Suzanne Ness and Elgin City Councilwoman Tish Powell are sponsoring a COVID-19 vaccine booster clinic this Saturday, Jan. 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Eastside Recreation Center (1080 E. Chicago St. in Elgin).

You will be sent a link to complete registration. Please arrive 15 minutes before the appointment, wear a mask at all times, check in with a volunteer at the entrance, and maintain six feet of distance from others as you wait. Confirm your appointment with a staff member once you arrive, and remember to bring your completed consent form with you.

"As we begin 2022, COVID-19 will not go away. Until more people are vaccinated and protected, we will continue to see cases of illness and even deaths from this insidious virus," Moeller said. "We want to make it as easy as possible for people to get this life-saving protection and encourage all who need the booster to join us Saturday. We will beat COVID-19 together."
