Column: Here’s how Build Back Better would help Southland families, lawmakers say

Universal free preschool, reduced prescription drug prices and expanded access to affordable housing are some ways the proposed Build Back Better Act could benefit residents of the south and southwest suburbs, Rep. Robin Kelly told state lawmakers Will Davis of Homewood, Debbie Meyers-Martin of Olympia Fields and others during a press call last week after the House passed the bill that faces an uncertain fate in the Senate.
