Candidate for state representative in the 51st State House District, Nabeela Syed, announced Oct. 26 that her campaign has raised over $25,000 from over 150 supporters within two weeks of launching.
“I am proud to announce we have raised over $25,000, but I’m even prouder to share that we already have over 150 grassroots donors who are fueling this campaign. This is a growing coalition of people all across this district who are ready to build a better Illinois, starting right here in the 51st District,” Syed said.
Syed is not only actively raising money but also connecting with 51st District residents to hear
from them firsthand about the issues that matter the most. She has attended several community events, including the Greater Palatine Area Democrats’ canvass.
“This is the community I was born and raised in, and it is incredible to see the outpouring of support from all over this district. We need a people-powered movement to turn IL-51 blue, and that’s why we’re kicking things off more than a year away from the general election. When it comes to issues like healthcare, economic growth, and education, people are looking for a leader with a fresh perspective and a track record of Democratic advocacy,” said Syed.
The 51st District includes parts of Palatine, Inverness, Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods, Kildeer, and Long Grove.
