Pritzker names Genovese to election board

SPRINGFIELD — Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Tuesday announced recent appointments in his administration, pending confirmation by the Illinois Senate.
Tonya Genovese will serve on the State Board of Elections. She is currently an attorney at the Gori Law Firm. Previously, she was an attorney and compliance officer at Lewis & Clark Community College. Prior, Genovese was an attorney in the Madison County State’s Attorney’s office.
She received her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Louis University.
Other appointments announced Tuesday included Bradley Zeller remaining as a member on the Illinois Finance Authority; Michelle McClendon serving on the Illinois International Port District Board; Karen McNaught serving on the Illinois State Police Merit Board; and Niketa Brar continuing to serve on the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
