Illinois has passed a landmark clean energy bill mandating 100% renewable energy by 2050, and now the state’s solar industry is prepping for a boom in business. The sweeping legislation gives $500 million in subsidies to the Illinois wind and solar industries. Before this, solar projects across the state were at a complete standstill due to funding running out. The subsidies are a 350% increase on investments made on solar in Illinois.
