AFSCME Council 31 is responding to comments made by a Springfield alderman after protesters burst into City Council chambers on Tuesday. RELATED:Springfield alderman wants protesters arrested after barging in meeting. Ward 7 Alderman Joe McMenamin was furious and even likened it to the January 6th Washington D. C. insurrection. The protesters were there to demand better contracts and pay.
