Springfield looks to add a lobbyist to city roster

The city of Springfield is looking to hire a lobbyist to ensure their voices are heard inside the state capitol building. The Committee of the Whole is sending an ordinance to the council next week that will set aside $75,000 to hire a lobbyist or a company to lobby for the city’s wants and needs. Mayor Jim Langfelder thinks a lobbyist can help the city get over the goal line when it comes to certain items that the city wants to accomplish. Caption: WICS.
