After a Fourth of July breakfast with U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth, Bloomington Mayor Mboka Mwilambwe says he’s humbled.
The senator was in town to meet with Mwilambwe and Normal Mayor Chris Koos to discuss federal funding in President Biden’s American Rescue Plan (ARP) and how it can help municipal governments recover from the economic impacts of COVID-19.
The City of Bloomington is slated to receive $22 million in relief funding from the Plan.
