Legislation And Campaign Aims To Reinstate Parole In Illinois


Since 1978, prisoners in Illinois have not been able to get parole. Parole Illinois, an organization founded by inmates at Stateville Correctional Center, says the state’s rules lead to a phenomenon it calls “death by incarceration”.

Reset talks with representatives of the group about bringing parole back to Illinois.
