Rental assistance is still available for residents and landlords in the state through the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s (IHDA) Illinois Rental Payment Program. Any resident behind on rent by at least 30 days can apply for assistance. The Illinois Rental Payment Program provides a grant for up to $25,000.
