LEMONT, IL — Outgoing Lemont Village Trustee Ryan Kwasneski was honored for his 10 years of service to the village at Monday’s village board meeting.
Kwasneski, a life-long Lemont resident, was first elected as trustee in 2017, and did not run for re-election in 2021. Kwasneski also previously served on the planning commission from 2011-2017.
"For the past four years, Ryan has devoted a substantial amount of personal time becoming educated on issues which affect the people of Lemont, preparing for and attending meetings, local functions and contributing to the community," Mayor John Egofske said, reading a proclamation which honored Kwasneski.
"I really appreciate all the dedication and commitment you’ve had," Egofske said.
"I don’t look at this as a goodbye, but a ‘see you later,’" Kwasneski said, thanking the village board and staff.
Also at the meeting, newly elected officials took their seats, including Mayor John Egofske for his second term as mayor; Village Clerk Charlene Smollen, and trustees Dave Maher, Ken McClafferty and Kevin Shaughnessy.
