The new chair of the Democratic Party in Illinois, Congresswoman Robin Kelly, paid a visit to Springfield yesterday.
She was greeted by fellow Democratic dignitaries including central Illinois latest state senator, Doris Turner. Turner noted that Kelly was in Springfield only two days after her election.
Kelly promised an open and transparent party that will work hard to raise funds from big donors as well as smaller donors so everyone can feel they are a part of the process.
