As 2020 comes to a close, several new state laws are poised to take effect Jan. 1, 2021. House Bill 667 will put a cap on consumer out-of-pocket insulin costs for many in-state insurance providers. It was drafted by Senator Andy Manar. Another law that will take effect on the first will allow survivors of domestic violence to conceal their personal information from their abusers. House Bill 2818 allows sexual assault and stalking survivors to participate in an attorney general-managed address confidentiality program. That bill was sponsored by several lawmakers, including 115th District Representative Terri Bryant.
