SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White is extending the closure of driver services facilities until Jan. 4, 2021.

The original closing of facilities was supposed to end on Dec. 7 but has been extended for the safety of employees and the public.

Because of the closings, driver’s license and ID card expirations are extended until June 1, 2021.

Some facilities will remain open for CDL drivers, according to White.

White is encouraging the public to use cyberdriveillinois.com for any services needed, including renewing registration.

Peoria is listed as a location that will remain open for CDL purposes.
