CHICAGO (CBS) — Cook County Sheriff Thomas Dart has tested positive for COVID-19, his office confirmed Saturday.
Dart was tested on Tuesday and last worked Thursday, Nov. 19.
He began feeling symptoms Friday, Nov. 20 and immediately self-quarantined, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
It is not clear where Dart might have contracted the virus.
Dart is still symptomatic and is under the care of his physician while he recovers at home.
