A Sangamon County judge has dismissed six lawsuits from around the state that were consolidated into one case seeking to block Governor JB Pritzker’s pandemic restrictions.
Attorney Thomas DeVore and State Representative Darren Bailey were joined by several other plaintiffs who argued that the pandemic did not meet the definition of a public health emergency under the law. But the judge ruled that the plaintiffs did not offer specific facts to support their conclusions.
She gave the plaintiffs three weeks to file an amended complaint.
