Chicago-area hospitals watch surge in COVID-19 patients, brace for things to get worse

Sinai Health System, which runs Mount Sinai and Holy Cross hospitals, on the city’s West and Southwest sides, hasn’t seen a dramatic increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations yet, but “it’s slowly creeping up,” said Dr. Russell Fiorella, the system’s chief medical officer and vice president of medical affairs.
