ROUND LAKE BEACH –As part of National Nurses Week, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is applauding the heroic work of local nurses and health care workers for putting themselves in the line of danger to save the lives of others during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Despite undeniably dangerous conditions, our local nurses are putting themselves in harm’s way every day as they work to keep our community safe during this health crisis,” Yingling said. “I want to thank all of the nurses, first responders, and other healthcare workers fighting on the frontlines to protect our families.”
Yingling is highlighting National Nurses Week to show his support for nurses and other health care workers during the COVID-19 health crisis, and is urging residents to abide by the governor’s extended stay-at-home order. The extended stay-at-home order lasts until May 30, requires residents to wear face coverings in public places where maintaining social distancing guidelines of 6 feet is difficult, such as grocery stores, and calls on residents to continue staying home as much as possible.
