The Coal City Village Board on Wednesday approved an emergency order enforcement ticket ordinance.

The ordinance allows the Coal City Police Department to issue a ticket if a business or resident does not abide by Governor JB Pritzker’s executive orders.

Here is Village Administrator Matt Fritz.

Coal City Mayor Terry Halliday had this to say during the meeting.

Village Trustee Sara Beach also chimed in on the discussion.

If a person or entity violates the ordinance, a fine of not less than $75 to $750 will be imposed.

The entire ordinance can be viewed at the website below.
