Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White’s office says the fee for paying with e-checks is being waived. The 75-cent fee for using an e-check online to pay for vehicle registration or a duplicate or new drivers’ license will not be assessed through August 2nd.
Secretary of State spokesman Henry Haupt says the public should visit their website to begin the process. At the end, they will be directed to the payment system.
