CHICAGO (CBS)–Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Tuesday said he plans to block proposed police reforms from taking effect in Chicago.
Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan shot back quickly with a statement defending the reforms, known as the “consent decree.”
“The decree was negotiated with the city and the Chicago Police Department,” Madigan said. “It’s not surprising that this justice departmenet is opposing real reform.”
