The LaSalle County Republican Party is still supporting St. Rep. Jerry Long despite harassment allegations against him.

Chairman Don Jenson says he requested information regarding the allegations from the House Republican Organization, but never received it and didn’t see a reason to pull support from Long.

Long says all he did was touch a co-worker’s neck.

Meanwhile, the House Republican Organization has pulled all financial support from Long and requested that he step down.

Long says he won’t. He’s facing Democrat Lance Yednock in November.
