Dear Editor,
As a farm boy from Hancock County, I look forward to reading the Journal-Pilot each week. When I looked at the January 14 issue, I saw that there were three “letters to the editor” from the far left.
Two of the three letters used the insinuation that President Donald Trump is a want to be Adolf Hitler. As a person who experienced the end of World War II, and have read many books about the time period from the end of World War I and the end of World War II, I felt that the two writers could use a little information about Adolf Hitler, Nazis, fascism and master race.
By the time I got the first draft of my “Letter to the Editor” finished, my teaching piece resembled “War and Peace.” It was never sent to the paper.
In the Jan. 21 issue of the paper, Mr. Steve Miller in his letter claimed that Mary Miller “praised Adolf Hitler on the floor of Congress.” I challenge Steve Miller to offer proof of his statement. If he can prove to me that Mary Miller did praise Adolf Hitler on the floor off Congress, I will offer to him an apology for thinking that he is a bald-faced liar.
Your truly,
William F. Bavery
