One of the big proposals from Governor JB Pritzker’s office for Fiscal Year 2026 would eliminate programs that allow some middle-to-older age non-citizens to receive healthcare coverage. That drew the attention of the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus. We talked with the co-chairs of the caucus about this proposal and other issues facing Illinois’ Hispanic residents.
