SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) — Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton received an Honorary State Degree from the FFA on Wednesday.
The Honorary State FFA degree is the highest honorary degree presented by the Illinois Association FFA at the annual Illinois FFA Convention.
“It is an honor and a true privilege to receive an honorary state degree from FFA. I’ve always believed that everyone, regardless of who they are or where they come from, should have access to healthy and nutritious foods, and because of organizations like the FFA, many talented young people have found through agriculture education an opportunity to succeed,” said Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton. “Our commitment to creating healthy communities begins with the food we put on our tables, and I’m proud of our administration’s mission to invest in the future of our children and the future of agriculture throughout our state and beyond.”
The Lieutenant Governor received this honorary degree for her outstanding commitment to serving the field of agriculture and agricultural education through the FFA program at a state level.
